Project

You will join a strategic, enterprise-wide initiative within the client’s technology organization focused on a cross-platform review of Close of Business (COB) executions and downstream batch flows. This is a high-visibility workstream tracked at executive level. The objective is to assess, redesign, and remediate batch and COB processes across Mainframe and Midrange platforms to ensure stability, efficiency, monitoring excellence, and long-term sustainability. The role requires deep banking expertise, strong architectural capabilities, and senior-level stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Acting as a senior enterprise consultant within the COB and batch domain

• Leading batch issue discovery and defining remediation scope

• Providing expert guidance on batch process optimisation

• Defining best practices for batch monitoring and alerting

• Developing the overall technical solution and strategic approach

• Facilitating workshops and technical working sessions across domains

• Advising senior stakeholders on technical direction and execution approach

• Driving structured communication and reporting to senior leadership

• Supporting remediation execution and ensuring delivery alignment

Expected competences and knowledge

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise banking environments

• Extensive hands-on experience with COB and batch solutioning (Mainframe & Midrange)

• Strong core banking background

• Proven experience in IT solution architecture

• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure and technical architecture

• Enterprise-level consulting experience

• Strategic technical planning and conceptual thinking

• Strong stakeholder management skills, including communication with senior leadership

• Experience with structured documentation and executive reporting

• Ability to formulate strategies and translate them into executable plans
