Enterprise Architect
As our Enterprise Architect, you own the technology vision and you have the mandate to make it real.
You will define and drive standards, guidelines, and the architecture strategy across our products: how systems are designed, how services communicate, how infrastructure supports scale, and how every major technology decision maps back to business outcomes. This isn't an advisory role — you set the direction, align the stakeholders, and take responsibility for the results.
You'll work directly with IT professionals (Engineering Managers, Software Architects), and business leaders (Product Managers) across dedicated product teams — with the authority and organizational backing to make decisions that stick. You'll have a seat at the table with IT Top Management, to whom you report directly, ensuring architectural vision and business strategy move in lockstep.
If you see a risk, you own the mitigation. If you see an opportunity, you drive it forward. We'll give you the tools, and the trust — the outcome is yours.
About us: GetResponse is a SaaS company recognized for its industry-leading email marketing and marketing automation software. We’ve been serving our customers since 1998 and are proud to have 400,000+ SMBs and 1,000+ enterprise customers on board. We’re global, remote-friendly, and multicultural, yet we share the same values.
Key responsibilities:
Own the architecture
take full ownership of the overall applications architecture — driving design, discovery, and assessment of solution architectures across the organization
translate architectural vision into tangible business impact, actively shaping both product and technology roadmaps
evaluate technology choices and architectural trade-offs with a clear eye on cost, scalability, maintainability, and long-term capacity
Drive decisions, manage risk
navigate architects and technology experts toward solid architectural decisions, standards, frameworks, and tooling — you set the direction, they help get there
identify risks and architectural challenges early, and own the mitigation strategies that keep delivery on track
closely collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and IT Security teams to ensure every architectural decision is grounded in operational, security, and quality realities
Shape the technical direction
facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders to define and prioritize architectural drivers for solutions being built
drive or actively support implementation estimation and roadmap construction — bridging the gap between architectural vision and delivery planning
Raise the bar across teams
provide mentorship, technical expertise, and hands-on guidance to architects and development teams — your knowledge is a force multiplier, not a bottleneck
own architecture guidelines and documentation standards, and take responsibility for keeping them current and consistent across multiple product teams — without slowing their autonomy
Our perfect candidate:
Who you are
a passionate and creative modern Software Architect — someone who thinks outside the box and thrives in an inspect-and-adapt, agile environment with a welcome-change attitude

are able to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing short-term pragmatism with long-term architectural integrity
Your background
hold a Master's degree in Computer Science or bring equivalent practical experience
have a 5+ years experience as an Architect, 10+ years of experience in Software Development
have a strong understanding of business processes and objectives
have a strong communication skills in Polish and English (min. B2) in a professional environment
Your technical expertise
have experience in at least one of the development stacks: .NET, PHP, Java, Python
have a proven experience with different kinds of databases — relational, graph, columnar, NoSQL, and beyond
have a strong knowledge of integration patterns and cross-system communication approaches
understand the full spectrum from monolithic to microservices architectures — including trade-offs, migration paths, and readiness required for each
have designed systems for both single-tenant and multi-tenant environments, and understand the implications for data isolation, scalability, and operational complexity
have guided teams through architecture transitions — whether extracting services from a monolith or consolidating a fragmented microservices landscape
How you work
treat RFCs, ADRs, architecture documentation, and governance frameworks as practical tools for aligning teams, not bureaucratic overhead
have excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
have very good communication and cooperation skills paired with an empathic personality
How you lead
inspire others with charisma and enthusiasm for technology - both juniors and seasoned experts alike
have a genuine desire to help others grow, backed by hands-on experience in mentoring and coaching
