Agile Delivery Lead

About the role

The Agile Delivery Lead ensures that teams organize themselves and deliver work according to Agile values and principles and follow the process and practices agreed by the teams and Royal Mail standards. The ADL both leads and helps the team to analyze requirements, understand the work required, and deliver this using Agile methods. This role combines aspects of a traditional Scrum Master role with aspects of a Delivery or Tech Lead.

Key Accountabilities

🔹Guide and coach the team to follow Agile/Scrum practices

🔹Guide and coach the team to become self-organized

🔹Help the team assess and improve their Agile maturity

🔹Improve transparency within the team

🔹Remove impediments and protect the team from unnecessary interruptions

🔹Manage stakeholders (supporting the Product Owner) and report on delivery to the wider organisation

🔹Take part in analysis, solution design and planning

🔹Ensure teams are focussed on delivering quality and business value

Key Competencies

🔹Experienced in a Scrum Master or similar role for a software development team

🔹Knowledge of Agile methods – Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.

🔹Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration

🔹Demonstrated ability to coach and support development teams and improve Agile maturity

🔹Good communication (both verbal and written) , stakeholder management skills
