About the role
The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritising, and driving product outcomes across ERGO’s digital and conversational platforms (Voice, Chat, GenAI). The role owns the product vision, roadmap, and backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory expectations (DORA, GDPR), and delivery frameworks. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, PMs, and international teams to deliver scalable, compliant, high-quality products. This role balances strategy and execution: shaping future capabilities while ensuring current initiatives land with predictability, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
How you will get the job done
defining and maintaining the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for voice/GenAI/digital features
aligning the roadmap with strategic priorities (GenAI scale-out, Voice platform expansion, compliance)
translating business goals into actionable product outcomes, KPIs, and measurable deliverables
owning and prioritising the product backlog using business value, feasibility, and dependencies
writing clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
ensuring that backlog reflects regulatory requirements, operational readiness, and technical constraints
working with PMs to align milestones, dependencies, and release plans
collaborating with developers, architects, and QA to ensure stories are understood, estimable, and implementable
participating in sprint ceremonies, refinement sessions
ensuring smooth handover into operations and readiness for scale
acting as the primary contact for business owners
facilitating workshops to gather requirements, align expectations, and validate designs
communicating product status, risks, and decisions clearly and consistently
ensuring product decisions incorporate DORA, GDPR, security, and audit requirements
driving documentation discipline (Confluence, Jira, architecture repositories)
supporting test strategy by clarifying acceptance criteria and confirming the definition of done
defining lightweight KPIs such as adoption, flow success rates, automation impact, and defect trends
analysing performance data (Cognigy Insights, operational dashboards) to identify improvements
prioritising optimisation cycles and refinements post-launch
Skills and experience you will need
fluent spoken and written English
5+ years of experience in Product Owner or Product Manager roles within IT or digital products
strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, hybrid delivery models
experience working with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, QA, DevOps, Architects)
ability to translate business needs into structured, implementable requirements
excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
familiarity with conversational platforms
exposure to GenAI or LLM-driven products
experience working in regulated environments (insurance, finance)
understanding of backend/API delivery concepts
strong analytical mindset; comfortable making prioritisation and trade-off decisions
experience with Jira, Confluence, and documentation standards
