(ET&S S.A.) was established in January 2021 following the integration of ERGO Digital IT and Atena into one entity, leveraging both companies’ strengths and best practices. As a part of ERGO Technology & Services Management AG, the technology holding of ERGO Group AG, we support millions of internal and external customers with state-of-the-art IT solutions to everyday problems.
In October 2022, ET&S S.A. expanded its scope of operations by creating a Business Services unit to contribute in a new way to the growth of ERGO’s business. About the role
We are seeking a candidate to lead our cluster team in the full application lifecycle. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the stable and efficient development, enhancement, and operation of our IT systems, all while aligning with our architectural and compliance frameworks. You will be a key player in delivering measurable business value through consistent delivery performance, technical excellence, and fostering a culture of people development across multiple locations.
How you will get the job done
planning, coordinating, and executing the development, improvement, testing, and roll-out of applications within the cluster, adhering to defined architecture and quality standards
ensuring the maintainability, stability, and operability of assigned applications and platforms while supporting troubleshooting and resolution of defects and operational incidents
promoting the use of standard tools, development frameworks, and architectural principles to enable cost-effective delivery and strategic alignment
collaborating with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to balance technical feasibility with business requirements
supporting project delivery by ensuring resource availability, technical readiness, and smooth transitions into operations
contributing to the implementation of strategic technology and business initiatives within the cluster, ensuring compliance with IT security and data protection requirements
managing collaboration with external service providers and delivery teams to guarantee quality and efficiency in delivery
leading and developing cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative work culture and promoting continuous knowledge sharing
Skills and experience you will need
fluency in English (C1)
a university degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Business Informatics, or Computer Science
several years of experience in the technology and/or finance industry, ideally within an international environment, particularly in insurance or IT consulting
solid understanding of insurance processes, products, and digital business models, along with practical experience in complex application landscapes and IT architectures
strong knowledge of IT applications and standards, with the ability to navigate interdependencies across systems and services
proven experience in leading delivery teams with a focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and team accountability, with flexibility for occasional travel
experience in building and maintaining platforms
excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, demonstrating a service-oriented approach toward internal partners
experience in vendor management
strong analytical skills and the ability to identify innovative IT solutions for efficient application delivery and system optimization
experience in change and incident management, along with strong organizational skills to manage complexity
exceptional leadership, communication, and coaching abilities to motivate and develop team members effectively
