    Are you passionate about IT applications, large databases, and solving technical challenges? Would you like to play a vital role in ensuring the stability and continuous improvement of DSV’s key transport application, CargoWise One?

    As an Application and IT Specialist, you’ll provide technical support and contribute to the development of solutions that support DSV’s business growth. You’ll work with global teams to ensure seamless operations while diving deep into SQL databases to explore opportunities for optimization and innovation.


    Your Responsibilities:


    • Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Deliver 3rd-level technical support for CargoWise One, including advanced troubleshooting.
    • Respond promptly to critical incidents, focusing on identifying effective solutions that address business needs and ensure smooth operations.
    • Support end users with requests, including complex data exports and database queries.
    • Act as a technical counterpart for 2nd-level support and the implementation team and translate requirements into technical solutions.
    • Application Management:
    • Develop and optimize SQL queries to improve system performance and reporting needs.
    • Maintain the application within a Windows ecosystem, ensuring the stable operation of application and web servers.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and enterprise architects to create and enhance data-driven solutions.
    • Conduct feature and release testing to ensure the reliability of new functionality.
    • Analyze system performance, bottlenecks and identify areas for improvements and scalability.
    • Maintain solution documentation in alignment with enterprise architecture requirements.

     

    Your Skills and Experience:

     

    • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong skills in SQL database statements and query optimization.
    • Experience with application support and maintenance, preferably with CargoWise One or Microsoft applications (an advantage, not mandatory).
    • Knowledge of scripting languages, XML, Excel macros, and other automation tools is a plus.
    • Experience in working with ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence is an advantage 

     

    • Problem-Solving Mindset:
    • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver pragmatic, effective solutions.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing stability and innovation.
    • Strong service-oriented attitude, able to support and mentor colleagues.

     

    • Education & Background:
    • A degree in IT or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
    • Excellent English skills (verbal and written) to collaborate with international teams.
    • Experience in freight forwarding is an advantage.
