THE WORK

• Design, deploy, and optimize relational MS SQL databases

• Perform tuning, indexing, and query optimization to ensure high performance

• Manage backup strategies, replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions

• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and apply updates and patches

• Automate maintenance tasks and contribute to long-term data architecture planning

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and availability across applications

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. Qualifications

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Proven experience in database engineering and administration

• Hands-on expertise with MS SQL

• Strong skills in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization

• Experience with backup, replication, HA, and DR strategies

• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for database maintenance

• Communicative English to collaborate with global stakeholders

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL)

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Influx DB

• Knowledge of data modeling and architecture best practices

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps environments
