Senior MLOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MLOps Engineer to join our team and enhance the performance of an already developed GenAI-powered chat system using unstructured data.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MLOps, unstructured data processing, OpenSearch, AWS services, and LLM-based systems, with deep proficiency in Python. Prior experience with chunking strategies for unstructured data and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems is critical.

Work Mode: 100% remotely

Job Responsibilities: 

• Maintain, optimize, and extend existing MLOps pipelines for ingesting, chunking, and embedding unstructured data (text, PDFs, audio, video).
• Improve chunking, parsing, and metadata enrichment techniques to enhance retrieval quality and LLM response relevance.
• Fine-tune integration with OpenSearch and vector databases for efficient semantic search and retrieval.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Backend Engineers, and LLM Experts to drive continuous performance improvements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the system in a cloud-native environment using AWS services.
• Ensure the system remains secure, scalable, and production-grade as usage grows.

Expectations

• 5+ years of experience in MLOps, Data Engineering, ML Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience working with unstructured data (text, PDF, audio, video).
• Expertise in chunking strategies, embedding generation, and retrieval optimization for LLMs.
• Deep experience with OpenSearch (including vector search and semantic capabilities).
• Strong proficiency in Python and related MLOps/Data Engineering frameworks.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to diagnose, improve, and scale complex GenAI systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
