Methodology

This report is based on two independent data sources. The first source is an analysis of over 110,000 job postings published on justjoin.it – the largest IT job board in Poland – throughout 2025. The dataset was compared with the corresponding period in 2024, excluding the Other category.

The average offered salary in job listings was calculated based on median salaries across three experience levels: junior, mid, and senior. To ensure reliable results, we first calculated the average of median salaries for each seniority level within a given category. These three values were then added together and divided by three, resulting in the final average salary for each category.

Median salaries by seniority were calculated as follows: For each job posting within a given category and experience level, we first calculated the average of the salary range provided. Next, for each seniority level, we calculated the median of these averages. This median value is presented in the report as the final salary figure for each experience level within a given category.

This methodology allows for an accurate reflection of IT salary trends, taking into account both job market data and the real expectations and experiences of IT professionals.

The second data source was a survey conducted between October 19 and November 7, 2025, among IT professionals using the CAWI method (Computer-Assisted Web Interview). Respondents were asked, among other things, about their actual and expected earnings. The report combines insights from both datasets.

All amounts marked as UoP (employment contract) are gross figures, while amounts marked as B2B (business-to-business) refer to net invoice values (excluding VAT).
