Work model: elastic hybrid (3 days per week from the office in Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warsaw / Rzeszów / Kraków)

Project

We are building a fintech platform from the ground up for a financial institution operating in the banking products space. As the Product Owner, you will own the overall product direction, roadmap, and prioritization for the platform. You will work across 9 squads and 3 Delivery Managers, ensuring that business goals are translated into a coherent delivery plan and that the product evolves in line with the client’s strategic vision.
You will be the primary point of contact between the client’s business stakeholders and the development organization, managing scope, priorities, and trade-offs at the portfolio level.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Define and maintain the overall product roadmap and prioritization across all squads and product areas
• Translate the client’s business requirements and strategic objectives into actionable epics and features
• Work closely with Business Analysts (one per product area) to ensure consistent requirements quality and alignment with the product vision
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Tech Leads to balance scope, timelines, and technical constraints
• Manage stakeholder expectations — communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to both client-side and internal leadership
• Drive scope and priority decisions when requirements conflict or resources are constrained
• Oversee the product from implementation through UAT, deployment, and MVP evolution
• Ensure the ramp-up plan aligns with product delivery milestones
• Communicate effectively in English with all stakeholders across technical and business domains

Expected competences and knowledge

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Project Manager in large-scale software delivery (multiple teams, 30+ people)
• Strong experience in the financial services or banking domain - understanding of banking product portfolios (accounts, payments, lending, cards, etc.)
• Ability to define product strategy, write epics/user stories, and manage a product backlog at scale
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional squads and coordinating priorities across product areas
• Strong stakeholder management skills - ability to navigate between business expectations and technical realities
• Fluent English - ability to communicate freely in a professional setting (spoken and written)

Nice to have

• Experience with greenfield fintech or digital banking platform builds
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and modern tech stacks (enough to engage in technical trade-off discussions)
• Experience managing products through full lifecycle: build, UAT, launch, and post-launch maintenance
• Experience in the Middle Eastern financial services market
