The Project
With the Program Forward product suite we are developing the future of how we organize our logistics operations in the area of land transport.

The goal is to develop a web-based solution which enables efficient workflows to plan and organize each of our trucks. Complex processes need to be realized to make the system as efficient and automated as possible.

In addition to the aspect of planning, the tool will also support daily execution processes, for example with the help of a map-based visualization of our fleet.

The team is also integrating machine learning tools developed by one of our partner-departments.

The web portal is accompanied by two mobile applications for our truck drivers and warehouse workers. These are used during the full workday to register events and show necessary information for each shipment. There is a close collaboration between the backend and mobile developers.

This application will receive huge amounts of data every day and needs to handle that in a performant way.

To help us with the challenges we are looking for experienced backend developer to support us here.

All projects are developed inhouse using modern technologies like Kotlin and Kafka and were started from scratch in the last year. Development takes place in an agile way (SCRUM).


Ideal candidate profile:
  • About five years of experience
  • Experience with Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Docker

Usual tasks:
  • In charge of planning, designing and developing apps and software using Kotlin
  • Contributing in all phases of the development cycle
  • Testing and amending features, when needed
  • Ensuring that the designs comply with the specifications provided.
