The Big Picture
We don’t just sell software; we help our clients figure out the best way to use technology to run their businesses. We are looking for a Head of Pre-Sales (we call it PTC - Product & Technology Consultancy) to act as the bridge between our technical team and our clients. Your job is to listen to a client's complicated problems and show them exactly how our services will solve them in a way that makes sense for their budget and goals.
Responsibilities
What the day-to-day looks like
You will manage our Pre-Sales team while also working directly with our most important clients.
Keep things moving: You will assign tasks to your team members to make sure every potential client gets a response quickly and no opportunities are missed.
Lead the meetings: You’ll join the sales team in high-level meetings to understand what a client needs and explain how our consulting services can help.
Prove it works: You will oversee the creation of technical demos and prototypes. These shouldn't just look good, they need to prove that our technology actually solves the client’s problem.
The Handover: Once a client signs a contract, you are responsible for giving the project team all the notes and technical details they need to start the work successfully.
Build the team: You will hire, train, and mentor a team of technical consultants.
Handle the paperwork: You will lead the technical side of formal business proposals, making sure our promises are both ambitious and possible to achieve.
Requirements
Who you are
Technically grounded: You have a background in software development. You know how software is actually built and can tell the difference between a real solution and a marketing gimmick.
Comfortable with modern tools: You use modern technology and AI tools to work faster and more efficiently. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and build a quick prototype to test an idea.
A clear communicator: You can explain the financial benefits of technology to a Director of Finance just as easily as you can discuss coding details with a Chief Technology Officer.
An experienced leader: You have spent at least 5 years managing technical sales teams and have a history of making team processes more efficient.
