Senior Electronics Engineer
Project description:
The position is fully remote from Szczecin or Wrocław, with the client based in Munich, Germany. Occasional on-site visits are required for a few days at a time to support key project activities. After approximately six months in the role, there is a possibility of transitioning to direct employment with the client as part of a long-term cooperation model.
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and develop electronics intended for mass production within projects delivered by CIP, in cooperation with IAI (Germany). The role is based on Infineon platforms and involves close collaboration with a dedicated Functional Safety (FuSa) team.
You will be responsible for end-to-end hardware development of embedded electronic systems, from architecture definition through design, validation, and preparation for series production. The role requires strong technical ownership, hands-on engineering, and the ability to work in a safety-aware product environment.
Requirements:
Electronics Design (Must-Have)
Minimum 7 years of experience in mass-production electronics design
Hands-on expertise in:
Schematic and PCB design (MCU / MPU / SoC based systems)
Power design (PMIC, DC/DC converters, LDOs, ESD/EMI protection)
Communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet)
Production-Oriented Engineering
Experience with DFM / DFA / DFT practices
BOM optimization and cost-down activities
Ability to work under component availability and supply constraints
Infineon Platform Experience (Strong Asset)
Experience with Infineon platforms is highly valued, including:
AURIX (TC2xx / TC3xx)
Power ICs and Gate Drivers
Automotive and Industrial MCUs
Ability to work with:
Reference designs
Application notes
Safety manuals as technical input
Cooperation with Functional Safety
This role is not a Functional Safety Engineer position, but requires strong safety awareness.
Understanding of ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 fundamentals at the hardware level
Ability to implement safety requirements in hardware architecture
Support for FMEDA / FTA activities as a hardware data provider
Awareness of safety design concepts such as:
Redundancy
Diagnostics
Safe state
Tools & Environment
EDA tools: Altium, Cadence, Mentor
Laboratory equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hardware debugging tools
International working environment (Poland – Germany)
Soft Skills
Excellent technical communication skills
Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
Strong focus on product quality, stability, and scalability
High level of autonomy and end-to-end ownership of hardware development
Languages
English – fluent
German – nice to have
Ideal Background
Experience in Automotive Tier-1 / Tier-2 environments
Industrial and safety-critical electronics
Projects such as ECUs, industrial controllers, or power systems
Main responsibilities:
Hardware design for embedded systems, including schematics and PCB layout
Definition of hardware architecture compliant with system and safety requirements (provided by the FuSa team)
Preparation of hardware designs for series production (NPI, ramp-up)
Close collaboration with:
Functional Safety Engineers (implementation of safety requirements in hardware)
Software development teams
EMS partners, factories, and component suppliers
Analysis of production issues and field failures, including hardware debugging and root cause analysis
