WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our Pipeline team and take ownership of driving improvements to developer workflows and tools. This role is critical in enabling our Engineering teams to be more self-sufficient by building efficient tools, processes, and pipelines that scale across teams working with monolithic and non-monolithic code architectures. 

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of improving developer feedback cycles, building stable CI pipelines, and enabling developer "self service" workflows and processes.

Essential Technical Skills 

• GitHub / GitHub Actions (extensive experience required) 
• Powershell Scripting Essential 
• Terraform/OpenTofu 
• TeamCity 

Desirable Technical Skills 

• Bash, Python, JavaScript nice to have 
• Kotlin 
• Static Code Analysis e.g. SonarQube 
• Use of AI in a relevant context  
• Knowledge of security best practices to secure cloud environments and protect sensitive data and implementation of same 

The Ideal Candidate 

The ideal candidate has over 5+ years of experience working with complex codebases, including complex monolithic architectures written in e.g. C#, and has enabled development teams to deliver faster and with higher confidence: having the development experience can make a difference. They have a solid understanding of designing scalable developer tooling and improving the efficiency of pipelines to enhance productivity. 

Profile & Skills 

• Proven experience designing and implementing of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (preferred) or Azure DevOps is essential 
• Experience automating deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors 
• Experience automating manual setup processes and configuration to enable developer "self service" creating repositories and workflows 
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment 
• Track record of autonomous thinking outside the box and devising ways to improve tooling and processes
