Role Overview:
As a Solution Architect, you will be an integral part of the architecture team, which forms a core component of our customer-focused function. Working alongside expert solution architects specializing in various infrastructure technologies, cloud platforms, software engineering, and enterprise architecture, you will collaborate directly with customers to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
This role involves designing end-to-end architectures that encompass cloud-first and hybrid environments, enterprise applications, integration frameworks, and infrastructure solutions that leverage AWS, other major cloud providers (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and on-premise technologies to meet customer requirements while fostering a relationship of trust throughout the partnership
Key Responsibilities:
• Understanding Customer Needs: Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in their technology journey.
• Architecture Development: Design comprehensive enterprise and cloud architectures that combine cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise systems, and enterprise applications to align with customer budgets and requirements.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Provide expertise in cloud adoption, migration strategies, infrastructure modernization, and integration with existing enterprise systems.
• Application & Integration Design: Architect scalable, secure, and resilient application solutions leveraging microservices, containerization, API management, and messaging platforms.
• Cost Awareness: Develop customer solutions that meet cost targets, fostering a relationship of trust throughout the partnership.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise architecture, providing guidance and expertise to both internal engineering teams and customers while acting as a key escalation point for engineering teams.
• Customer Discovery: Scope out existing technology solutions with customers and support the recommended technical solution.
• Solution Implementation: Own the architecture during the implementation of solutions, working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Troubleshooting: Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues related to cloud and enterprise technologies, providing timely resolution and troubleshooting assistance.
• Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in enterprise IT and cloud technologies and share knowledge and insights with colleagues to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience in solution architecture or significant experience in a senior technical role, covering cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise IT environments.
• Proven track record of designing complex enterprise solutions across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, including networking, security, storage, and virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Java application servers such as WebLogic (or similar) and related frameworks.
• Solid experience in container technologies (e.g., Docker, OCI-compliant engines) and Kubernetes, including associated technologies and patterns (e.g., GitOps).
• Good exposure to Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tooling for automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration frameworks, API management solutions, and messaging platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:
• ONLY EU citizenship;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus,
• A 5-day onboarding in Luxembourg is necessary, during which the equipment is handed over, the team is introduced and procedures are introduced,
• The position is remote but you have to be able to handle occasional short on-site appearances in Luxembourg. You have to be ready for this, but it rarely happens in practice,
• Ready to start work without unnecessary delay,
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
