Business Functional Finance Specialist (Oracle EBS)
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Business Functional Finance Specialist to join our Technology Consulting division. Our practice is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, end-to-end project implementations by leveraging deep technical and functional expertise in Oracle products.
Core Purpose of the Role
In this position, you will provide vital cross-functional support and solution delivery across core Oracle EBS modules, with a primary focus on Financials, Procurement, and Order Management. Your mission is to maintain everyday operational stability, implement system upgrades, assist business users, and drive ongoing process optimization across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration & System Enhancements
Execute system configuration modifications, including flexfields, value sets, approval workflows, and multi-module integrations.
Map out functional modifications and assist in authoring key project documentation, such as MD50 and BR100 blueprints.
Identify and propose opportunities for workflow optimization and automated business processes.
Quality Assurance & Release Governance
Design and build comprehensive test scripts for system patches, version upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
Conduct thorough regression testing cycles to safeguard operational stability across interconnected modules.
Data Management & Integrations
Support complex system integrations utilizing APIs, OAF, OIC, XML Gateway, and customized interfaces.
Facilitate secure data migration, financial reconciliations, and master data governance practices.
Business Collaboration & Enablement
Work hand-in-hand with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to simplify daily workflows and reinforce internal controls.
Conduct training sessions, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and maintain up-to-date process guides.
Advanced Support & Problem Resolution (L2/L3)
Deliver advanced functional troubleshooting across multiple live EBS applications.
Investigate and resolve system anomalies disrupting daily business operations, reporting cycles, or financial closing tasks.
Act as a bridge between IT, Corporate Finance, Procurement, and core development teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: University degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 6 to 10 years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), spanning Financials, Supply Chain Management (SCM), or HR modules.
Technical Skills: Strong capability in functional configuration, root-cause analysis, and system troubleshooting.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Attributes
Languages: Professional language proficiency in German or French.
Credentials: Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, or professional certifications in finance and accounting (CA, CMA, CFA, etc.).
