Test Automation Engineer

Salary: 800-1100 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia | Gdańsk | Warszawa (3 days per week from the office)

 Project

The project focuses on the development of a modern platform within the consumer finance domain, supporting everyday financial services for individual customers. The system provides functionalities related to payments, account management, and integrations with various external financial services. The solution is built on a service-oriented architecture with extensive API integrations and a modern web interface. The project is delivered in an Agile environment by an international team, with a strong focus on ensuring high software quality through test automation and non-functional testing practices.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Implement automated test cases in close collaboration with developers, manual testers, Product Owners, and business experts

• Reduce manual testing efforts by automating Front-End and Back-End flows

• Perform performance testing according to project standards using tools such as JMeter

• Gather and manage test data required for testing activities

• Monitor, debug, and document test results

• Proactively improve and expand automated test coverage

• Support QA activities within the delivery team and promote an automation-first mindset

Expected competences and knowledge

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in test automation

• Programming skills in Java

• Strong experience in GUI (Web) and API (REST) test automation

• Experience with automation-related tools and frameworks such as Maven, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Rest-Assured, Postman, Chrome DevTools

• Strong experience working with GIT

• Experience in non-functional testing, particularly performance testing using JMeter

• Experience with test management tools (preferably qTest)

• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo)

• Familiarity with BDD approach and Gherkin

• Solid understanding of software testing processes (e.g., ISTQB Foundation level)

• Ability to support and drive QA activities across the delivery team

• Good communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in mobile application testing

• Hands-on manual testing experience

• Experience working with various data formats (XML, CSV, JSON)
