Network Automation Engineer

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer – Load Balancing and Infrastructure Migration, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution. You’ll contribute to our client’s ambitious project to migrate and modernize their load balancing estate, supporting digital transformation and operational excellence in a dynamic banking environment. This role offers a unique chance to work on innovative automation solutions while growing your expertise in a global financial leader.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and execute migration plans for infrastructure and services from legacy systems to new platforms.

• Collaborate with service owners to schedule migration activities without impacting business operations.

• Develop and build automation tools for the new platform using industry-standard technologies.

• Understand and enhance existing codebases to ensure compatibility with new systems.

• Create and maintain deployment pipelines following our client-approved technologies and standards.

• Follow strict change control procedures and ensure adherence to configuration and API standards.

• Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with a distributed team of technical SMEs, developers, and stakeholders.

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 4 years of experience in network engineering, automation, or related fields.

• Strong expertise in Python, API development, and testing.

• Hands-on experience with automation tools and platforms such as Bash, Jenkins/CICD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and Hashicorp Vault.

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (BGP, Routing, TCP/IP, certificates/PKI, VMware, KVM) with a focus on F5 load balancers.

• Proven ability to automate operational processes in network environments.

• Excellent command of English — ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
