We are seeking a Technical Contributor to support mission-critical initiatives within the Google Compute Control Plane ecosystem.

TVCs are expected to work closely with Google Engineering Owners (EOs), cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes in a fast-moving, large-scale cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on contributions across software development, testing, operations, compliance, migration, or documentation initiatives

• Support KTLO (Keep the Lights On) activities, including ticket resolution, incident follow-up, and long-tail issue remediation

• Implement scoped feature enhancements, fixes, migrations, or deprecations

• Contribute to regression testing, automation, CI improvements, or quality gates

• Work within Google internal tooling (e.g., Piper / google3, Buganizer, Chiron, internal dashboards)

• Collaborate with distributed teams across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones

• Follow Google security, access, and compliance requirements

• Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, or artifacts appropriate to the stream

• Participate in planning, reviews, and execution check-ins led by Google EOs or Program Management

Job requirements:

Experience working in large‑scale production environments

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to operate effectively with partial or evolving requirements

• Ability to ramp up quickly in new technical or product domains

• Prior experience working within monorepo‑based development systems

• Familiarity with cloud compute platforms and related services

• 3+ years of backend experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Linux systems administration in large-scale production environments

• Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Compute-related services

• Experience managing technical programs in large-scale engineering environments

• Familiarity with google3 / Piper, CI/CD workflows, and monorepo-based development

• Proficiency with Google execution and tracking tools (e.g., Buganizer, Chiron)

• Ability to manage migrations, deprecations, and cross-team technical dependencies

Must possess a legal work permit in Poland
