As a Mid-Level Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Analytics, you will be working for our client, a major player in the online banking sector that develops advanced data-driven solutions supporting digital financial services. In this role, you will contribute to projects focused on process mining, churn prediction, fraud detection, and natural language processing. The client is building product-oriented analytical capabilities and seeks a professional who combines strong statistical and machine learning expertise with business understanding and engineering skills to turn complex data into scalable, high-impact solutions used across the organization.
Your main responsibilities:
Develop machine learning models supporting fraud detection, churn analysis, NLP, and process mining initiatives.
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving banking products and services.
Translate business problems into analytical and machine learning solutions.
Identify and acquire relevant data sources within and outside the organization.
Design and implement data pipelines and model workflows for production environments.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product vision and analytical use cases.
Present insights, models, and recommendations to technical and non-technical partners.
Improve existing models and analytical solutions through experimentation and evaluation.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
At least 4 years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
Strong knowledge of machine learning concepts and statistical modeling.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib or similar libraries).
Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Experience building and evaluating machine learning models in production or near-production environments.
Ability to understand business problems and translate them into analytical solutions.
Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark.
Knowledge of Java or Scala for data processing or machine learning workflows.
Basic skills in DevOps / Linux Administration.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Additional certifications or skills in data engineering or cloud platforms.
Language Required for the role:
Polish (Communicative level)
