About the AI Strike Team

The AI Strike Team exists to reimagine how software is built at hx. Rather than layering AI tools on top of traditional development workflows, this team is redefining the software development lifecycle using AI-native practices, enabling dramatic improvements in both engineering velocity and product quality.

Operating as a high-autonomy group within the wider Technology organisation, the team is tasked with delivering complex product epics significantly faster than traditional teams while simultaneously building the guardrails required to ensure safety, stability, and compliance at scale. Their work spans the entire hx platform, collaborating closely with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to ship meaningful customer value quickly and responsibly.

As a Senior member of this team, you will operate across the entire codebase, using AI tools and agentic workflows to rapidly understand systems, ship features, and improve developer productivity. Beyond delivery, you will help translate these AI-native practices into repeatable patterns that raise the baseline engineering capability of the entire organisation.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and deliver complex product epics at 3–5x the velocity of baseline engineering teams, ensuring high-quality functionality reaches customers faster without compromising system integrity.

• Architect AI-assisted guardrails across the SDLC, including autonomous testing pipelines, AI-driven security reviews, and automated code quality agents that maintain stability while enabling rapid iteration.

• Use AI tools to rapidly map dependencies and navigate unfamiliar parts of the hx codebase, safely delivering cross-domain improvements without relying on traditional code ownership boundaries.

• Build and evolve AI-native development workflows, integrating best-in-class tooling across coding, testing, CI/CD, and deployment environments.

• Translate successful strike team practices into documented patterns, reusable tooling, and “paved road” workflows that scale across the wider engineering organisation.

• Partner with engineers and technical leaders to share knowledge, mentor teams, and accelerate adoption of AI-native engineering practices across hx.

What you’ll need to have done

• Built or significantly evolved AI-assisted engineering workflows that measurably accelerated delivery speed while maintaining production reliability.

• Delivered complex product features or systems across unfamiliar codebases by rapidly understanding architecture, dependencies, and operational constraints.

• Architected scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems that enabled fast, reliable software delivery in production environments.

• Implemented automated testing, security, or quality systems that reduced operational risk while increasing development velocity.

• Evaluated and integrated modern AI development tooling, selecting pragmatic solutions that improved developer productivity and software quality.

• Led or influenced engineering teams to adopt new technical practices, raising standards through mentorship, documentation, and hands-on collaboration.

You’re unlikely to thrive here if

How hx Warsaw Works

At hyperexponential, we believe in a balance between remote work, and building relationships across teams and locations. You’ll have your main office in Warsaw, 2 days a week, with also ability to travel to London HQ to meet the wider team. International travel will be much less frequent, perhaps 2-3 times a year.

Warsaw HQ was established in 2023, quickly hiring our first handful of high-calibre engineers. Fast-forward to today in 2026, there are 50+ in Warsaw and surrounding cities who travel for the collaborative environment.

On Wednesdays you’ll often find Warsaw HQ organising team lunch paid by hx, getting drinks after hours. The office is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring yours along!

Compensation

At hx, we're committed to salary transparency. You'll always have clarity on pay early in the process - our Talent Partner will share details with you during initial conversations - and we're working towards publishing salary information for all roles globally.

Because we're building at the intersection of technology/SaaS and insurance, our roles don't always map neatly onto traditional benchmarks. Our approach is to design compensation that's competitive in the market, fair across teams, and aligned with the impact our people make.
