What you’ll be doing

As a Storage Operations Engineer within our Managed Services division, you’ll play a critical role in supporting L2/L3 operations, delivering Storage as a Service (StaaS) to clients while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

You will be actively involved in daily operations, handling complex incidents, problem resolution, and driving the integration of new methods, tools, and technologies to enhance storage operations. Your role ensures the stability and seamless operation of Hitachi Vantara’s block and unified storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Storage Operations & Engineering: Act as a Block Storage Engineer with architectural responsibilities for Hitachi Block and Unified Storage.
• Gateway Role: As the technical bridge between the local delivery team, Product Engineering, and the Customer Managed Service Operations Team.
• Incident & Change Management: Lead complex incidents, tasks, and changes remotely for client infrastructures.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct performance, capacity, and load analyses to recommend measures for stable and efficient operations.
• Root Cause Analysis: Perform in-depth root cause analysis to resolve stability issues for Block and Unified Storage.
• System Upgrades: Plan, coordinate, and install complex system software upgrades in line with customer processes and procedures.

What you bring to the team 

• Experience: client systems support and IT work experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Block and Unified storage concepts and software, with extensive experience in infrastructure environments (Storage, Virtualization, Compute).
• IT Service Management: Familiarity with ITIL processes and methods.
• Programming/Scripting: Experience with programming and scripting.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English.
