Senior Database Manager

For our client – a leading payments technology company delivering innovative software and services to customers in 54 countries - we are looking for Senior Database Manager, who will manage a team of 10 skilled administrators and engineers, and work closely with business partners in the wider technology group to ensure the stable and secure operation of Data Center Infrastructure.

• Take pare in complex infrastructure transformation project in global structures
• Manage (line & performance) a team of skilled engineers in the area of Data Base administration
• Provide technical leadership to the team, coach them in the approach to technical challenges
• Coordinate key operational and project workload for the team ensuring timely completion in a progressive manner that biases lean approaches and continuous improvement
• Actively participate in project group activities and hands on administrative tasks of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database servers
• Collaborate with external suppliers of equipment and services.

What we expect from you:

• More than 5 years of experience in managing team of Technical staff in a Database discipline
• Extensive experience and knowledge of operating systems (MS Windows Server/Unix), database administration, including Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Experience in the area of networking and telecommunications
• Experienced in maintaining open communication with customers and stakeholders
• Assists team members in developing their skills / careers and achieving potential
• Willing and ability to work in our office in Warsaw
• Speaks fluently English and Polish
