We are seeking an experienced Digital Commerce Solution Architecture Manager to lead our team of solution architects in shaping the future of our digital commerce ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge business ambition with technical reality, leading a team of approximately 10 solution architects who work across our comprehensive digital commerce portfolio.
You will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements translate into robust, scalable solutions that can be delivered within time and budget constraints. This is a critical leadership position that requires both deep technical expertise and strong people management skills.
The role reports directly to the Senior Director Global Digital Commerce.
Your responsibilities would include:
Team Leadership & Management:
leading, mentoring, and developing a team of ~10 solution architects supporting enterprise-wide digital commerce initiatives
fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on innovation and excellence
managing resource allocation across programs, ensuring architects are optimally deployed based on skills and program needs
conducting performance reviews, career development planning, and skills assessment for team members
building and maintaining solution architecture standards, best practices, and methodologies
Solution Architecture & Design:
overseeing the development of logical and conceptual solution designs across the digital commerce portfolio, including:
B2B eCommerce platforms
Sales Force Automation (SFA) tooling
Customer and distributor portals
Customer service applications
Marketing technology and brand sites
Digital payments infrastructure
Loyalty programs
Pricing and promotions engines
ensuring solution designs align with enterprise architecture standards and technology strategy
reviewing and approving complex solution architecture proposals, providing guidance on technical approach and design patterns
identifying opportunities for platform consolidation, reuse, and standardisation across the portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
partnering closely with Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable value
working with Engineering leadership to ensure solutions are feasible, can be built within budget constraints, and align with development capacity
collaborating with Program/Project Management to define realistic timelines and identify technical dependencies
engaging with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with broader technology roadmaps and standards
facilitating architecture review boards and technical governance processes
Strategic Planning & Delivery:
contributing to the digital commerce technology strategy and multi-year roadmap
identifying technical risks and dependencies early in the delivery lifecycle
driving continuous improvement in solution architecture practices and delivery methodologies
monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to digital commerce
balancing innovation with pragmatism, ensuring solutions are both forward-thinking and deliverable.
Technology Stack:
Mandatory to know:
Diagramming ability, using tools like LeanIX, Visio or Lucid
Cloud-based Architecture design in Azure, AWS or GCP. Prefer deep Azure Experience
Distributed computing fundamentals
Monolithic versus composable architectures
Good to know:
OpenAPI
Microsoft Dynamics (CE + F&O)
Salesforce
Other B2B or D2C Ecommerce Platforms
You are a good candidate if you have:
8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with at least 5 years in digital commerce or related domains
3+ years of people management experience, leading technical teams
proven track record of delivering complex, multi-workstream digital commerce programs
experience working in matrix organisations and managing stakeholder relationships across multiple functions
experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or other international consumer goods organisation
experience in consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing industries
knowledge of headless commerce and composable architecture approaches
understanding of data architecture, master data management, and customer data platforms
experience managing distributed or global teams
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Based in or willing to relocate to Krakow, Poland.
You are a perfect match if you also have:
Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) orcloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
