Senior AI Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a high-priority project focused on building a central hub for advanced AI agents. You will work on a cutting-edge cloud-native platform designed to deploy and manage AI agents at an enterprise scale for a global leader in the retail industry.

Essential functions:

• AI Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AI agent infrastructure on Google Cloud using Vertex AI.

• Security & IAM: Develop and enforce identity and access management (IAM) frameworks, including RBAC and cross-cloud alignment (Azure/Google).

• CI/CD & Automation: Lead automation for compliance checks, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous monitoring workflows.

• Model Governance: Manage and stage custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) actions to ensure safe and compliant execution boundaries.

Qualifications:

• Python: Strong development skills (v3.11+) including experience with middleware and SDKs.

• Cloud AI/ML: Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML/AI platforms (Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Agent Engine).

• Enterprise Security: Familiarity with workload identity federation, OPA (Open Policy Agent), VPC, and private endpoints.

• Experience: Approximately 5 years of relevant engineering experience.

Would be a plus:

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (1.5+), GitHub Actions, and Spinnaker.

• Containers: GKE, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, LangSmith, and alerting tools.

• Data Storage: Knowledge of BigQuery, AlloyDB, or Firestore.
