Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure SRE

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program or project management, including experience in Technical Program Management and software development life cycle.
Experience with SQL, Tableau and Jira.
Experience leading technical projects or working with engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields, or equivalent work experience.
Understanding of the engineering concepts to build, deploy, and manage engineering systems or features, lead projects, facilitate technical discussions, and drive execution.
Ability to influence team members in solving software engineering challenges.
Ability to collaborate with the internal stakeholders on projects across different functions and geographies to manage change and drive improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and process skills to facilitate technical discussions and drive projects to completion.

In this role, you will manage various projects, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.This role offers an opportunity to directly shape the reliability of Google's foundational machine management systems, a critical component of our infrastructure. You will partner with Infrastructure SRE leaders at all levels, driving programs, providing structure, organization, and visibility to technical initiatives. Beyond program execution, you will be instrumental in establishing frameworks that improve organizational efficiency, foster technical leadership, and improve decision-making in a dynamic environment. Your work will directly enable Google to maintain its leadership.

Responsibilities
Partner with SRE/Development leads to define and lead the Infrastructure program portfolio, setting investments, multi-quarter road-maps, and managing resource allocation and reliability.
Collaborate with SRE Engineers, team leads, and development partners to improve the core system.
Establish program governance for operational excellence. Drive process improvement and facilitate decision-making for organizational impact.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Track and measure program performance, driving improvement and improving program management impact for organizational growth.
