Senior Project Manager – Nordic Electricity Market

We are looking for a freelance Senior Project Manager for a 12+ month assignment. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of a complex cross-border electricity market implementation project. The project involves coordination and collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders across the Nordic electricity sector.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act as the responsible Senior Project Manager for the project

• Drive execution and secure timely delivery of project activities and deliverables

• Maintain governance support, status reporting, and decision preparation

• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and ensure business alignment

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to secure commitment

• Ensure effective communication and change management throughout project execution

• Implement structured and proactive project risk management

• Support stability and continuity in project execution

Key Requirements:

• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects

• Extensive and directly relevant experience from regulated sectors or critical infrastructure environments

• Strong knowledge of Nordic conditions and the Nordic power system

• Hands-on experience with governance, steering committee reporting, and project risk management

Nice to Have:

• Experience with regional capacity calculation projects

• Experience with market coupling projects

• Experience with Flow-Based methodologies

Other Details

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark with travel within Nordic countries
Contract Duration: 32 months with a start date in mid-July, 2026
