We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to join the Execution & Delivery area for a leading client in the banking sector. The team is responsible for enabling efficient, scalable and repeatable release management processes across a wide range of IT initiatives.
In this role, you will ensure that releases for critical payment-related platforms and applications are planned and executed with high quality, operational stability and full compliance with internal standards. You will work closely with Release Managers, Test Managers, Product Owners, Execution Leads, Scrum Masters, and both Development and Operations teams.
Responsibilities
Coordinate, plan and maintain release roadmaps for one or more applications.
Plan and manage multiple parallel releases.
Organise go-live activities and post-go-live follow-up.
Plan, coordinate and track all change-related activities throughout the release lifecycle.
Lead release decision meetings and secure milestone approvals.
Facilitate handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
Improve release quality and efficiency by introducing automation, new tooling and DevOps practices into release orchestration.
Requirements
Must-have experience
7+ years of IT project management and release planning experience.
Background in Release/Deployment Management, ideally within the banking or financial sector.
Experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management processes under ITIL.
Strong command of Jira and Confluence.
Experience working with CI/CD environments and at the intersection of IT and business.
Basic understanding of DevOps concepts.
Ability to create, review and validate deployment runbooks with technical teams.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent English communication skills.
