Transition Manager – Data Centre Migration (Financial Services)

Due to our ongoing growth and the large number of recruitment projects we undertake for our partners, we are currently looking for: Transition Manager – Data Centre Migration (Financial Services)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and drive end-to-end transition and cutover activities for multiple application migrations

• Coordinate technical, operational, and business stakeholders across internal teams and external vendors

• Ensure readiness for production cutovers, including dependency mapping, risk mitigation, and rollback planning

• Develop and manage transition plans, cutover schedules, and execution runbooks at application level

• Track and actively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies related to migration execution

• Align programme governance with hands-on delivery activities

• Ensure all transitions comply with regulatory requirements and operational stability standards

• Provide clear and structured status reporting to programme leadership and key stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Transition Manager or Senior Project Manager in complex IT migration or transition programmes

• Strong background in financial services (banking, finance, insurance, or other regulated environments)

• Proven experience in data centre migrations, platform transitions, or large-scale infrastructure programmes

• Hands-on experience with cutover planning, execution, and production readiness

• Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams in complex, high-pressure environments

• Strong stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and vendor organisations

• Structured and methodical approach to risk, dependency, and issue management

• Excellent communication skills in an international environment

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Experience working with large banking organisations

• Familiarity with cloud migrations or modern hosting platforms

• Experience in multi-vendor or outsourced delivery environments

• Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks

• Experience working in programmes with strong dependencies on architecture, infrastructure, and security teams
