As a Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to participate projects across greenfield initiatives (designing and building infrastructure from scratch), AWS migrations and modernization efforts, as well as advanced Data and Big Data projects. This role will allow you to develop your expertise in cloud-native architecture, security, automation (IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes), and working with large-scale data platforms. Additionally, you will be involved in FinOps initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in cost optimization and efficient cloud environment management.
Your Responsibilities:
Implement and develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS, based on best practices.
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS CDK.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Manage containerized applications using Docker and deploy workloads with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or EKS.
Implement robust security practices, including IAM policies and access control.
Deploy and manage observability stacks using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Write code to automate tasks and workflows using scripting and programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, or Bash.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, collaborating with development teams.
Create and update technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Engage directly with customers on technical matters, advising them on specific solution designs and implementation approaches.
Requirements:
AWS: Ability to implement and manage core AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Practical experience in building and managing infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CDK.
CI/CD & Automation: Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Programming: Practical experience in scripting using Python, TypeScript, Go, or Bash.
Containerization & Orchestration: Experience in managing containerized applications using Docker and deploying workloads with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or EKS.
Security, Compliance & Networking: Understanding of basic AWS security principles like IAM and VPC, and the ability to implement them.
Monitoring & Observability: Practical experience in deploying and managing monitoring stacks like Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently resolve technical issues.
Knowledge Sharing & Enablement: Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and actively share knowledge.
Client Engagement: Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical solutions and interact with customers on project-specific details.
Good understanding of software engineering best practices such as code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, deployment, release, and change management.
AWS Certifications: Hold and be actively pursuing relevant AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Advanced Networking) to validate expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Fluency in both English and Polish, written and spoken.
