Accounting Specialist

What You'll Do

• Manage daily accounting entries (invoices, payments, expenses) in collaboration with our external accountants
• Reconcile Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Wise, and bank transactions regularly
• Assist with VAT tracking and reporting for EU countries (Ireland, Germany, France, etc.)
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support month-end closings
• Maintain organized documentation for tax compliance, audits, and financial reviews
• Act as the key point of contact for our external accounting and tax advisors
• Proactively identify process improvements to make financial operations faster, simpler, and more accurate

What We're Looking For

• 2–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping roles
• Strong organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail
• High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial data
• Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Shopify, Stripe, or accounting software is a plus
• Solid understanding of VAT and financial compliance principles (EU knowledge a plus)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (especially French or German) are a plus
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment
