We are looking for an Azure Platform Support Engineer to join our cloud engineering & support team. 🚀

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, stability, and performance of our Azure-based data and analytics platforms. You will focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, platform automation, and continuous improvement.

 

📝 You will be responsible for:

  • Monitor the health, performance and capacity of Azure platform components, including Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (Pipelines)

  • Troubleshoot issues across the Azure ecosystem, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption

  • Provide operational support for data pipelines, notebooks, ETL/ELT workflows, and CI/CD processes

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and DevOps teams to resolve platform incidents

  • Maintain and improve observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and custom dashboards

  • Automate repetitive operational tasks

  • Work with Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD, source control, release management and deployment workflows

  • Maintain documentation, knowledge base entries, runbooks, and operational procedures

  • Run and document RCAs

  • Ensure all internal and external customer interactions are handled professionally and with the highest level of service


👉 What you will need: 

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (monitoring, operations, troubleshooting)

  • Operational understanding of:

    • Azure Databricks (clusters, jobs, notebooks, workspace operations)

    • Azure Data Factory Pipelines (monitoring, debugging, triggers, integration runtimes)

    • Azure DevOps (ADO) (repositories, pipelines, boards)

  • Experience with automation and scripting (preferably using PowerShell, Python, Bash)

  • Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting

  • Ownership mindset and a proactive approach to improving platform reliability

  • Service-oriented attitude, patience, thoroughness and good attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent command of English


💡 Nice to have: 

  • Certification in Azure (e.g. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals)

  • Familiarity with Power BI and Plotly Dash

  • Experience with customer support

  • Understanding of ITIL fundamentals and processes

  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow)

  • Understanding of networking, identity, and security concepts in Azure

  • Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates etc.) is a plus
