About the role

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you’ll play a key role in modernizing our app’s networking foundation by transitioning from AFNetworking to Alamofire, ensuring stability, scalability, and top-tier performance. This is an opportunity to shape the technical future of a widely used mobile platform, collaborate in an agile and supportive environment, and make a lasting impact on user experience and engineering excellence.

What you will do

• Create a new networking library built upon Alamofire and use it for server verification during account creation;

• Create a drop-in replacement for the app networking client;

• After establishing that the new network client is stable (no incidents, crashes, errors, etc), remove old networking library code.

Must haves

• 5+ years experience in commercial iOS development;

• Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift, and modern iOS APIs, as well as experience using Apple development tools (Xcode, Instruments, etc);

• Prior experience working on library upgrades or migrations between libraries;

• Hands-on experience setting up Alamofire for applications;

• Demonstrated proficiency integrating with HTTP & Socket data APIs;

• Self-driven engineer with strong grasp in delivering and presenting results in Agile manner;

• Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders;

• Understanding of the importance of alerting, monitoring, code coverage, and integration testing;

• Experience working with AFNetworking;

• Familiarity with the current mobile landscape and keeping up-to-date with current trends, emerging technology, best practices, and modern development approaches;

• Upper-intermediate English level.
