Technology stack: as an IT head you will have the opportunity to choose the technology stacks in the project.

Our client is an international clothing recycling company - they are on a mission to reshape the clothing industry!

By extending the life of clothing while putting people first. Their scalable repair approach andplatform serves global brands, cuts textile waste, and puts craftsmanship and impact at theheart of the clothing industry, while creating meaningful jobs for people distanced from the labor market.

Your role is:

-> to define the technical strategy and platform architecture and lead the scaling and rebuild of our MVP into a robust and scalable SaaS platform;

-> to work closely with the founders, the product manager and key stakeholders to align platform development with company goals and values;

-> to establish and lead a local engineering team in an European Tech Hub;

-> to select the right tech stack using modern languages/tools such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python and decide on crucial development trade-offs (buy vs build, internal vs external);

-> to set up Agile product development processes, and work hands-on where needed;

-> to oversee and steer platform feature development based on added value for the overall platform proposition and internal KPI’s;

-> to implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and robust monitoring systems;

-> to define and enforce best practices for scalability, cyber security, and compliance;

-> to balance technical excellence with pragmatism. We're building for scale and speed;

-> to frame ownership of URC’s data model and analytics layer that powers dashboards,brand insights, and ESG reporting

Your skills and experiences:

-> 8+ years of experience in software development, including full-stack leadership;

-> Strong background in SaaS platforms, microservices, and cloud-based architecture(AWS, GCP, or Azure);

-> Experience working in or leading an international high growth scale-up environment;

-> Excellent knowledge of modern development practices (React, TypeScript, Node.js,Python, etc.);

-> Familiarity with Agile/Lean, GitHub workflows, CI/CD, containerization (Docker,Kubernetes);

-> Strong communication and leadership skills. You can inspire and grow teams;

-> Fluency in English;

-> Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on attitude, and passion for climate + social impact.

Nice to have:

+ Experience with international B2B logistical, workflow or circular SaaS platforms;

+ Clear view on utilizing AI for product and engineering purposes;

+ Understanding of data protection (GDPR), cybersecurity, and cloud cost;management

+ Prior experience hiring or scaling nearshore/offshore dev teams;

+ Understanding of what it takes to build tech in high-growth VC-backed contexts.
