    The role

    As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll be instrumental in fostering the growth and technical aptitude of Software Engineers and Software Test Engineers. You'll act as a consultant to the technical staff, leveraging your experience, knowledge, and skills to provide guidance. We value leaders with solid situational leadership, a servant-leader mindset, coaching expertise, and effective communication skills. Your role involves guiding engineers to maintain a quality-focused atmosphere while meeting business needs and staying aligned with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other chapters. Leading by example, and demonstrating accountability, openness, agile fluency, and technical prowess are critical. You'll oversee autonomous software delivery, address team challenges, coach team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality engineering outcomes within project timelines and budgets.


    Where you’ll work

    You have to be located in Poland to be considered for this position. You’ll have the flexibility to choose between remote work or working from our office in Warsaw.


    What you’ll be doing

    • Autonomously leading and growing a team of full-stack engineers
    • Monitoring and improving your team's performance to achieve both collective objectives and the individual goals of team members
    • Driving the product development lifecycle from idea generation to delivery, through collaboration with your Product, Design, and QA peers
    • Collaborating with other teams to grasp interdependencies, prioritize tasks, and identify opportunities for streamlining processes
    • Advocating for operational excellence through automation, tooling, and monitoring/alerting
    • Collaborating closely with the Director of Engineering to shape processes and enhance performance for both the team and the entire department
    • Seeking out opportunities to improve engineering excellence within and beyond your team to keep a continuous improvement methodology


    What you’ll need

    • A seasoned Engineering Leader with 4+ years of experience managing Software Engineers
    • 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer 
    • Passionate about building high-performing teams and challenging yourself and others to constantly learn and improve
    • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, in the interest of mentorship and self-improvement
    • Knowledgeable about backend services and client applications, and best practices for interaction between the two
    • Experienced with Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban, and desire to work in an Agile environment
    • Fluent in English, both in speaking and writing
    • Strong communication and collaboration qualities
