Job description

POSITION:

Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) Technician

Your tasks:

Key role focus is to ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality.

  • Interact with HW vendor to open repair call and follow till completion
  • Interact with SW vendor to open support call, provided required information and follow till completion
  • Escalate with all required information to Competence Centers any issue that has a 3rd level support complexity
  • interpret, use and apply information contained in the knkwledgebase to solve all the issues that usually happens on the infrastructure
  • the monitoring, management and support of heterogeneous environments (Windows, Linux, Vmware, Hyper-v, Storage, Backup)

What we expect

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in solutions architecture with demonstrated experience in cloud, mobile and web technologies. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment,
able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Virtualization knowledge (Vmware, Hyper V, Citrix, etc…)
  • Linux and Windows Core functionalities
  • Cluster experience on Windows and Linux
  • Capability to operate in a complex production environment
  • Able to navigate and troubleshoot in a Mac OS environment is a plus
  • capability to operate at level 2 knowledge (hands on) on all the required technologies
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Masters preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Windows server operating systems
  • Expert knowledge of Linux systems and open source technologies
  • Experience integrating Windows services with Unix/Linux environments is strongly desired
  • Experience with the administration of large, diverse server platforms (1000+ server environment)
  • Advanced technical knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and knowledge of Hyper-V and Citrix environment
  • Basic Operation Knowledge of Server/storage hardware
  • Basic Operation of networking fundamentals
  • Basic Operation of information security
  • Strong communication skills (English is a must)
  • Excellent written and oral communication and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline intensive environment
  • VCP certification
  • MCP Certification
  • RHCE Certification
  • 3-5 years of system engineering experience
