Job Description: Application Support Engineer (Contract)
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Role: Application Support Engineer
Onsite Requirement: 2-3 days per week
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team in Warsaw. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production incidents on large enterprise applications, ensuring seamless operations and providing exceptional support.
Key Responsibilities:

Incident Management: Manage and resolve production incidents related to large-scale enterprise applications, following established ITSM processes.

Application Support: Provide L2 support for Java applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.

Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge of Unix/Linux servers, Java applications, JVMs, and SQL.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: Utilize advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Server Environment: Experience working in large-scale server environments is essential.

Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Java Application Support Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and SQL.
- In-depth understanding of Java applications, JVMs, and related technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience working in large-scale server environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Certification in Java or related technologies.
