Salary: 1000 - 1360 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Gdańsk or Warszawa (3 days per week from the office)

Project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for our client from the banking sector, who will join a Corporate Credit unit focused on building and modernizing data solutions supporting credit risk and limit management processes. The role involves full ownership of data engineering initiatives – from understanding business needs and designing scalable data models to delivering production-ready data pipelines and modern warehouse solutions.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping a new data engineering capability, driving the modernization and consolidation of existing solutions into unified, scalable platforms. The position also requires strong ownership, close collaboration with stakeholders, and a focus on engineering excellence through modern development practices and AI-assisted productivity tools.

Expected competences and knowledge

• Min. 4–5 years of experience in data engineering and building large-scale data solutions
• Strong experience with modern data warehousing concepts and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow
• Experience designing and developing robust ETL/data pipelines
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and modern engineering practices
• Ability to independently drive solutions from requirements gathering to production deployment
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to understanding business domains
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and engineering productivity improvements
• Very good communication skills in English
• Nice to have:
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or risk/credit-related domains
  • Experience with data integration and orchestration across distributed systems
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud or enterprise-scale environments
