Junior Frontend Developer

Salary: 300 - 500 PLN net / MD + VAT

Hybrid work: Kraków (office-based, minimum 3 days per week, ideally more)

Availability: Preferred ASAP (up to 14 days notice period acceptable)

Project duration: Until September/November with a strong possibility of extension

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Angular Developer to join a team working on web applications in the insurance domain. The main focus is on migrating a legacy system to a newer technological stack.

The application is a configurable platform used by insurance agencies, operating between SaaS and PaaS models. Development is organized across multiple teams, each responsible for different parts of the system, with a strong focus on gradually modernizing the existing solution. You will work in an environment that combines legacy system understanding with modern frontend practices and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in frontend development

• Strong knowledge of Angular and TypeScript

• Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., tools similar to Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot)

• Basic understanding of frontend testing concepts (no hands-on experience required, but must understand differences and purpose of testing)

• English level: at least B2

• Willingness to learn, grow, and work independently (not relying solely on tools)

• Openness to working with legacy code

• Basic understanding of Java is a strong plus

Duties

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript

• Participate in application migration processes and implementation of new features — with over 90% of the work focused on migration, supported by AI coding assistants

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on different parts of the system

• Work with AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency

• Contribute to code quality, readability, and maintainability

• Support estimation and implementation tasks within the team

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular Material, Tailwind, or Bootstrap
  (Note: the team primarily uses internal styling solutions and custom components)

• Exposure to AngularJS (not required)
