Role Description
Senior Test Analyst is a senior role within the software development team, reporting directly to the Divisional Director for software development. You are an expert who will be key to our testing approaches; both in test strategy, automated test, and hands-on testing.
You will be a technical leader continuously striving to drive best practices and embody digital cultures such as Agile and Lean Start-up.
The successful applicant will become a senior part of a respected and hardworking team, providing support to clients and other team members alike. Whilst the role is in the Development team the successful candidate will also work closely with the Data Analytics, Sales, and Operations teams, gaining good knowledge and experience across a number of different skills. Applicants should be keen, hardworking, and have excellent technical skills and background.

Responsibilities
- Defining and executing test strategies and scripts
- Ensure a high standard is maintained across the applications that are built.
- Writing, reviewing, and updating product test plans/scripts, test cases, model-based tests, and scenarios
- Contribute to the process and practices that ensure good quality software.
- Effective defect logging and tracking status through a resolution system.
- Ensuring requirements traceability
- Introducing/suggesting new processes and techniques
- Accurate recording and monitoring of issues
- Providing support to the development teams to automate tests and provide guidance to the test team
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a Senior Tester position with the ability to work at this level
- Ability to do and happy to carry out manual testing and experience of automated testing using Selenium or other automation tools
- Experience of working in an Agile manner and experience of working in Scrum Teams
- Deliver front end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory, systems integration and user acceptance testing e.g. manual testing
- Extensive experience of testing web-based applications
- Experience of creating, communicating and actioning test strategies
- Knowledge of test design, test execution and defect report creation.
- Experience scoping, planning and implementing manual test plans.
- Strong test industry knowledge of standards and methodologies.
- Familiarity with the typical Microsoft web stack (ASP.NET / C# / JQuery / Bootstrap)
