The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital in the Commerce space at Heineken. HEINEKEN’s digital solutions are a vital component in protecting and growing the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported the Commerce DevOps Hub has been established. This newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with engineering the software which powers e-Commerce. The Commerce DevOps Hub location is in Kraków, Poland.
As the Junior Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Monetize team. The Monetize teams focus on back-end services in the domains of Product Assortment, ePayments (Payment Orchestration), Loyalty management and Digital Promotions. Within your role you will configure, develop, implement, maintain and integrate our SaaS-solutions in the wider Commerce IT landscape. You’re a true expert when it comes to our SaaS application — you know it inside out. With your deep understanding, you empower the Product Owner(s), Product Architect(s), and Business Analyst(s) to turn ideas into impactful solutions. And if the SaaS platform doesn’t offer the right capabilities, you’re ready to explore and guide the team toward alternative technologies that better meet business needs. You help to build the solution architecture specifications and services in line with overall standards and roadmaps.
You support in build/configure the technical strategy and ensure alignment with both architecture and business objectives. You will be helping driving excellence in solution engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the solutions development lifecycle in our Commerce IT landscape, fostering a culture of technical creativity and staying ahead of technology trends.The role reports directly to the Software Engineer Lead.
Your responsibilities would include:
helping to design, configure, develop, deliver and maintain IT solutions, within the SaaS applications and Microsoft platforms
helping to customize, configure and engineer the SaaS solutions, jointly with the team and vendorsintegrating solutions with other Heineken systems and data sources to ensure seamless data flow and process automation
overseeing and solving immediate technical challenges
reducing technical debt in the team
collaborating with other Engineers, Dev Leads, Product Owner(s) and Product Architect(s) to assure that the team has a stable workload and a backlog of proper size
creating documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure ongoing support and facilitate easy transfer of knowledge. Ensure that these resources are up-to-date and accessible.
You are a good candidate if you have:
at least 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position
hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of mandatory to know technologies
familiarity in rollout global solutions operating across global markets
proven ability to work with teams of engineers with varying experience
Experience with working in an Agile environment
inquisitive, problem solving, pragmatic, and collaborative team player
a thrive in a fast paced and changing environment and see challenges as an opportunity to improve
ability to take initiative and a start-up mindset, demonstrating resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving

Technology Stack
Mandatory to know:
enterprise experience with SaaS- solutions in the respective domains of Loyalty management, Fintech and/or Digital Promotions (Preferably within the current stack; Epsilon - PeopleCloud Loyalty, ProcessOut - Payment Orchestration Platform or Talon.One. )
knowledge of configuration; user management (RBAC), business ruling/logic and workflows, integrations (e.g. Webhooks API's, OAUTH), data modelling and security and compliancy settings in an Enterprise environment
basic understanding of API integrations: REST, SOAP, Web API
familiarity in solution architecture and integration patterns with other enterprise systems and back-end applications
YAGNI/ SOLID / KISS / DRY mindset
experience using GIT or other version control framework. Extra credit if you can point us to your Github account.
Good to know:
basic understanding of API integrations: REST, SOAP, Web API
basic understanding and interest in programming Languages: C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript
familiarity with SQL for querying data and understanding database structures
familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies can be helpful for deploying and managing applications
Familiarity with GraphQL
familiarity with MACH Architecture principles
Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) related knowledge for creating custom applications and automating processes within the Microsoft ecosystem
familiarity with Power BI: For reporting and data visualization, often integrated into solutions for dashboards and analytics
familiarity with Azure services and integrations, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements within enterprise applications
familiarity with ETL Tools: Familiarity with data extraction and transformation tools
understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, especially for SaaS applications
familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance standards is especially important in highly regulated industries
experience with tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello for tracking progress and managing tasks.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
