Main Responsibilities

As the XConnect Platform Engineer, your role will encompass the following core duties:

• Facilitate Kubernetes cluster operations and orchestration.

• Develop and maintain backend solutions.

• Write and optimize code primarily in TypeScript and/or Go.

• Implement infrastructure solutions using Terraform.

• Orchestrate CI/CD processes and deployments.

• Design scalable multi-tenant systems and API architectures.

• Manage Linux environments and networking aspects.

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions.

• Develop reusable self-service platform capabilities for developers.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cluster operations.

• Proficient backend engineering skills.

• Excellent programming skills in TypeScript and/or Go; Python knowledge is a plus.

• Cloud platform expertise, preferably in AWS.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles, particularly Terraform.

• Strong CI/CD and deployment orchestration experience.

• Proven track record in designing scalable multi-tenant systems.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.

• Experienced in observability and monitoring practices.

• Ability to build reusable self-service capabilities for developers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes operators/controllers.

• Knowledge of Backstage or developer portal tooling.

• Container runtime/platform engineering experience.

• Understanding of event-driven or distributed systems architecture.

• Experience with service mesh concepts and Open Telemetry.
