Java/Kotlin Tooling Engineer

Project Scope

We are supporting the Build Tools Integration team in expanding CI/CD capabilities by integrating and executing various build tools such as Maven, Gradle, MSBuild, and NPM, as well as external tools like Unity and Unreal. The work focuses on enabling seamless test reporting, issue analysis, and custom build pipeline recipes for easy use within integrated developer tools.

Challenges

Develop and maintain deep integrations with diverse build systems, ensure accurate diagnostics and performance insights, and enhance user-facing automation features for complex CI/CD pipelines.

Team

Currently, this is a two-person project on our side, carried out in close collaboration with the client’s engineering team.

What we expect in general

• Willingness to work with a variety of build tools
• Familiarity with (or eagerness to learn) tools such as MSBuild, Maven, Gradle, and others
• Ability to integrate diverse tools within the JVM ecosystem (Java, Kotlin, Spring Framework)
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD, build tooling, or JVM-based backend development
• Strong skills in Java or Kotlin, with a readiness to explore new technologies
• Strategic thinking, self-organization, and clear communication
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
