Senior Snowflake Engineer

Your responsibilities:

• Act as a Senior Engineer in a team responsible for building and operating a global data platform based on Snowflake.
• Collaborate with Snowflake platform consumers (i.e. Solution Architects, Data Engineers, etc) providing technical support and consultancy.
• Develop comprehensive, cost effective and robust architectural and integration proposals for the platform users.
• Develop and implement standardized and automated methods to monitor and optimize performance and credit consumption for Snowflake managed accounts.
• Apply compliance and security best practices, ensuring that Snowflake platform meets the corresponding requirements.
• Support IT partners facilitating the on-boarding of their use cases and optimizing operational activities.
• Evaluate newly released Snowflake features for added value, security, performance and alignment with the platform's mission statement.
• Collaborate with the users to test and adopt such features to Production.

We are looking for you, if you have:

• Strong experience in Snowflake administration, proactive monitoring and optimization (at least 3 years)
• Excellent understanding of Snowflake architecture and features
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably in AWS
• Strong SQL, Python, and scripting skills for data processing and automation
• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations
• A positive can-do attitude and great problem solving skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience in Data Mesh implementations will be advantageous
