IT Application Support Specialist

Your responsibilities:

● Provide first-, second-, and third-line support for applications, including troubleshooting incidents, problems, and change requests.

● Install applications on servers and perform server restarts as needed.

● Query databases and execute scripts for troubleshooting and support.

● Transfer files between servers and manage file/folder permissions.

● Connect and manage databases hosted on different servers.

● Implement and manage user remote access for internal and external vendors.

● Manage different IT environments (development, test, production).

● Handle IT service requests via ServiceNow (ticket creation, forwarding, tracking) or iCare tickets.

● Coordinate IT infrastructure requirements such as server replacements.

● Implement and maintain SSL certificates.

● Administer security measures, including Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.

We are looking for you, if you have:

Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level (3-5 years experience)

Languages:

● Mandatory: English (C1)

● Nice to have: German (B2)

General Skills:

● Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

● Strong communication and coordination skills.

● Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.

● Customer-oriented mindset.

● Proficiency in Google tools (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat/Meet).

● Fluent English; German is a plus.

● Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and business processes.

● Basic knowledge of ITIL and Release Management processes.

● IT Service Management expertise.

● Self-organized to meet given SLAs.

Technical Skills:

● Strong experience in relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).

● Administration expertise in MS SQL (Mgmt Studio), MySQL, PostgreSQL, PLSQL,

Unix/Linux, SharePoint, MS Access.

● SQL scripting and database administration experience.

● Experience working in an Enterprise Network environment.

● General knowledge of Active Directory and Firewall security.

● Proficiency in Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2014+), MS SQL Server, and Linux.

● Knowledge of web server technologies (Apache, IIS >7).

● Familiarity with programming languages (HTML, ASP, SQL, VBA, VBS, CMD/DOS,

JavaScript, Java, PowerShell, Python).

● Ability to schedule and manage batch SQL database scripts.

● Knowledge of HP ALM/HP Quality Center (administrative perspective).

● Nice to have: AWS Cloud experience.

● Nice to have: API integration experience via Mulesoft.

Preferred Experience:

● Experience in pharmaceutical industry or international company, especially in areas

such as SHE, Facility Management, Logistics, Supply & Disposal, and

Engineering/Construction
