About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect with over a decade of deep technical expertise to champion our enterprise-wide Zero Trust transformation. In this highly strategic yet technical role, you will lead the architecture, design, and policy engineering of our Illumio microsegmentation platform. You will bridge the gap between traditional network perimeter defenses and modern microsegmentation strategy, driving scalable security designs across a massive enterprise footprint.

Your Key Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture & Target Design

• Define Target Architectures: Formulate and refine the global target design for Illumio microsegmentation, ensuring smooth co-existence with legacy or multi-vendor segmentation environments.

• Bridge the Hybrid Divide: Blueprint architectures that seamlessly blend classic hardware firewalling with advanced software-defined microsegmentation frameworks.

Hands-on Engineering & Policy Design

• Engineer Illumio Policies: Lead the hands-on creation, testing, review, and optimization of fine-grained application security policies inside the Illumio tool.

• Enforce Standards: Build robust engineering best practices, sustainable design templates, and standardized operational playbooks.

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor Tech Teams: Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME), upskilling junior engineers and guiding teams through complex technical hurdles.

• Engage Business Partners: Collaborate effectively across a broad network of stakeholders, including application owners, service managers, and executive tech leadership.

Profile Requirements

Mandatory Skills & Technical Qualifications

• 10+ Years of Experience: A proven track record in high-level infrastructure, network security, or security architecture roles within enterprise-scale environments.

• Illumio Mastery: Comprehensive, deep architectural and design knowledge of the Illumio microsegmentation platform.

• Advanced Policy Design: Demonstrated expertise creating and maintaining application isolation and ring-fencing policies in the Illumio tool.

• Hybrid Firewalling Expert: Extensive experience successfully integrating traditional network firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet) with software-defined microsegmentation approaches.

• Scale: Prior experience deploying microsegmentation at a massive, enterprise-wide or large-installation tier.

Desired Capabilities

• Flawless Documentation: Superior capability to write clean, articulate architecture designs, process flowcharts, and runbooks.

• ITIL Framework Alignment: Working familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks for incident, change, and release management.
