Senior Automation Engineer (DevOps / Infrastructure)

Location: Poland – Krakow or Warsaw

Work Mode: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

Rate: 140-160 pln/h netto + VAT B2B

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our engineering team supporting automation initiatives across on-prem infrastructure and database operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust automation solutions that streamline infrastructure and application management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for database operations and rollouts.

• Build and integrate APIs for database management and automation workflows.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.

• Implement configuration management processes using Ansible.

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Troubleshoot automation issues across scripting, APIs, and containerized environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize and standardize automation frameworks.

Mandatory Requirements

• 8–11 years of professional experience in automation engineering.

• Proven expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.

• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Strong knowledge of on-prem distributed systems and Linux-based environments.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex automation scenarios.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)

• Understanding of security and software development within highly regulated environments.

• End-to-end knowledge of build, package, test, and deployment processes in CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for automated systems performance tracking.

• Experience with API integration and database-related automation workflows.
