Strategic Product Owner
We are looking for an experienced Strategic Product Owner who will help our customer deal with defining the strategic direction of the E-Bike Product - from market understanding and user needs to shaping the product DNA, ensuring commercial success, and guiding long-term product evolution.
Our engagement begins with a B2B contract through Spyrosoft, transitioning to a direct contract with our Partner.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in product management (hardware, mobility, or automotive preferred)
· Strong market and analytical skills
· Ability to operate at the intersection of business, technology, design, sales and marketing
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Experience managing full product lifecycles
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken
· Readiness for occasional travel (once every two months)
Nice to have:
· Experience in eliciting, splitting, documenting, and refining business requirements
· Experience in business process modeling and business process implementation, preferably utilizing modern notations such as BPMN
· Ability to discuss concepts related to API contracts
· Fluency in German
Main responsibilities:
· Define market requirements, target user personas and competitive positioning
· Perform market research identifying market status, trends, and key players
· Own the Product Requirements Document (PRD), including weight targets, range goals, and must-have features
· Map business processes and customer journeys using recognized modeling standards and tools
· Research and analyze opportunities for improvement
· Communicate business requirements clearly to business users, IT professionals, and external partners
· Manage MSRP, gross margin, and overall product profitability
· Define product lifecycle strategy, including future updates, accessories, and end-of-life considerations
· Align Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support around value proposition and launch timing
