Senior DevOps Engineer

We are part of a long-term, multi-technology project that provides operational support to enterprise clients across Europe. The broader project brings together over 70 specialists working across infrastructure, databases, middleware, networking, and virtualization, delivering Level 2 and 3 support in complex environments.

Within this project, the Cloud Team focuses exclusively on Microsoft Azure. We design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployments and configurations, and ensure performance, compliance, and cost efficiency. Our responsibilities include:

• Managing Azure services (VMs, App Services, Functions, AKS, Storage, Networking)
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Terraform Cloud)
• Automating tasks with PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Managing identity and access (Entra ID, RBAC)
• Securing environments with APIM, WAF, and governance policies
• Monitoring and optimizing performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Leading cloud migrations and collaborating with cross-functional teams

We work with a modern tech stack including Terraform, Azure DevOps, Azure OpenAI, and containerized workloads. The team operates in a hybrid model with business hours support and on-call rotations to ensure high availability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Maintain and support existing Azure infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and service issues across Azure resources and integrations.
• Handle service tickets, incidents, and change requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Development, etc.) to build and deploy Azure-based solutions.
• Lead the migration of legacy infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and optimized performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and enforce cloud best practices and governance policies for the Azure environment.
• Implement and manage API Management (APIM), Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell for routine tasks, deployments, and system configurations.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Experienced in working collaboratively within a team and sharing knowledge with team members

Must have requirements:

• Proven experience in designing and managing cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, architecture, and cloud design patterns.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, configuration, and deployment tasks.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
• In-depth understanding of networking, security, and governance in a cloud environment.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation and management (Azure DevOps, Terraform Cloud).
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to integrate and leverage Azure OpenAI services in solutions.
• Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in Azure, including custom roles and access policies.

Nice to have requirements:

• Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Cost optimization experience (FinOps).
• Experience with various Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proficiency in working with Linux-based systems, including scripting and server administration in a cloud environment.
• Strong interest in staying current with evolving Azure technologies, best practices, and new service offerings.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and collaboration tools.

Workin hours, location:

·       Business hours: 08:00-18:99 (8 hours shifts)

·       Katowice (full remote/hybrid)
