SmartBear is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to work with the Zephyr Scale product. This product provides test management capabilities to Atlassian products, working as a plugin/extension for Jira and Confluence, for managing both manual and automated testing processes. You will be working on improving the quality and helping make sure that we deliver good software for our thousands of users.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of a test strategy and manage its execution, through defining different types of tests to be used and coverage goals
- Analyze business requirements to determine completeness, dependencies, and impact on existing product functionality
- Take a leading role in defining acceptance criteria for new feature work
- Write and maintain acceptance test scenarios for different functional areas of the product
- Exploratory testing of feature components beyond the scope of agreed acceptance tests
- Write and maintain automated regression tests
- Manual acceptance test of some features before production release
- Monitor and debug automation test failures
- Gain an understanding of business concepts and how users use the product
- Take leadership in advocating test processes within the teams and guide developers in testing best practices
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
- Strong knowledge of SDLC (particularly agile) and testing principles
- Passionate about quality in both the development process and final product delivered
- Keen interest in understanding how software/the product works
- Ability to analyze issues in detail and help determine root cause
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with remote teams
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit
- Experience with source code management tools e.g., GitHub
- Experience with programming languages, particularly Java and Javascript/NodeJS
- Experience with CI tools
- English at least on B2 level
Desirable:
- Experience with CircleCI
- Experience with WebdriverIO Framework
- Experience with Docker
- Exposure to React
